Choose a cat to adopt

CONTACT DETAILS
Homing and Welfare Officer, Bert: telephone 01242 571874
or email: sweet52@hotmail.co.uk.

The following are just some of our cats available as at 7 March 2010. To find out about other cats in our care, please contact our Homing and Welfare Officer, details above.

Our Adoption Process

Paw print Tell us which cat you are interested in or what type of cat you are looking for, we will then arrange for you to visit any suitable cat(s) and help you make a decision.
Paw print Next, we carry out a home visit to ensure that your environment suits the needs of the cat; not every cat will suit your specific situation. At this time we will complete any relevant paperwork and answer any further questions.
Paw print Getting a cat ready for adoption is expensive. Where necessary, we will neuter, vaccinate, microchip, worm, de-flea and vet check your cat before you take it home.
Paw print We, therefore, appreciate a donation in return, to ensure we can continue our essential work with the unwanted, lost and stray cats in Cheltenham.

CATS LOOKING FOR NEW HOMES
Puss Puss: Approximately 10 years old, female, black and white, long-hair.

Story: Puss Puss is a beautiful long haired girl. She is very chatty and extremely affectionate; she likes to actually curl up under the duvet with her fosterer at night. She will make a fantastic companion for someone but will require regular grooming.

As nice as Puss Puss is, she is not a lap cat. Also, not really sociable with other pets and very young children.

Suki Suki: Female, white with some black, short-haired.

Story: Suki loves to be stroked, is very alert and chatty (but isn't noisy). If you like company then this is the cat for you. Although she has a slight problem with one of her back legs, it doesn't seem to affect her unduly - please have a chat with our Homing and Welfare Officer for more details.

Suki
Fluffy Fluffy: Ten years old, female cat. Long-haired tabby, and very pretty.

Story: Fluffy came into care with her two sisters, who have now been homed. She does like being stroked for a short while and will sit on a lap, but not voluntarily! In other words, she doesn't like a lot of fussing.

Fluffy would probably prefer a quiet home with no children or other pets, and where someone is home a large part of the day.

Smudge - with really long whiskers Smudge: Two years old, female.
Story: Smudge has come into care because of family problems. She is very playful, and is certainly becoming quite the affectionate cat - lovely looking whiskers. We think she is probably more suited to a family with older children.
(3 March 2010)
Troy Troy: A young male cat, three to four years old and in excellent health. He has been neutered, microchipped, deflead, vaccinated.

Story: Probably happiest in a home without other pets. He loves to be outside in the garden hunting, so is definitely not a cat for someone in a flat or where he cannot roam free and safely. Due to the devoted care he currently receives, Troy is becoming quite the loving cat. He is used to a cat flap. (17 November 2009)
Geoff Geoff: About 18 months to 2 years old, black and white male.

Story: He came to us a stray and has settled in well with us. We are glad to recommend Geoff as a calm, bright and very friendly cat.
